Born and raised in Fayetteville, Arkansas, Chucks journey to the acting world spans over 30 years with its own twists and turns to bring him where he is today. And he feels he is not finished. Chuck’s lofty goals in the film and television industry are as varied as he is, and we have no doubt he will meet all his set goals.
As a young man, he attended the University of Arkansas, studying business and psychology. And at this time of his life he stepped into the modeling world. Being in front of the camera began his journey into the next logical step of acting and voice over work. Chuck has a distinct voice and to this day still has a bit of Arkansas in his speech, which makes him a unique voice indeed.
Wanting to do more work, in front of a camera, he began pursuing both film & television work. Lucky for Chuck he had a good friend who he met in Arkansas who was also working on a hit series, “Bay Watch”, his friend John Allen Nelson, helped him land his first television job as a lifeguard on the show.
After that, Chuck wanted to do more and he kept modeling and by now was working in the financial world, which took his focus away from being in front of the camera, for several years. However, keeping his thumb on the business, and him being in the financial world, it was a logical move for him to become the Executive Producer on a film, entitled, “Shelter”, in which his buddy John Allen Nelson, was one of the main actors.
As luck would have it, the company he worked for needed representation in Florida, and Chuck eager to move away from the winter’s in Arkansas happily volunteered to relocate to the sunshine state. And has been happy pursuing his craft in paradise.
Returning to the industry that he put on the back burner, many years ago, wouldn’t be such an easy task. First he looked around to find where he could begin his training again, and chose The Connecticut School of Broadcasting, in West Palm Beach, FL. He took voice over classes, radio and television as well. Here he met his first Acting Coach, Bob Carter who trained him for the stage as well as helped him understand scripts. Doing his best to work in and around the acting voice over business, while still sitting on a board of directors for a major corporation, his commitments to the responsibilities demanded him to split his energies.
Once Chuck realized his time has become much more flexible, he was ready to take the move to become a working actor. That’s when Chuck found his 2nd acting coach, Sara Rogers. To this day he still studies with her, both for stage and film techniques.
His goals are lofty, but with Chuck’s determination, and discipline he may reach his 10 feature films, 20 commercials 10 episodic television shows, and last but not least 5 theatre productions.
